Exclusive to Child Hypnotherapy Institute, this CPD accredited training programme consists of two online live training sessions counting as 14 hours towards your formal continued professional development.
We are proud to bring you the highly sought-after Neurodivergence in Children & Young Adults Training Programme – exclusive to CHI UK. Courses can be bought individually, or as a package. Therapists are encouraged to complete both days for the maximum benefit to your understanding, knowledge and practice.
COURSE DETAILS
- Working with Neurodivergent Children & Young Adults CPD Accredited – Day One 10am – 5pm online
A one day (7 hour) course for professionals working with children, young adults and families who want to expand their knowledge of neurodiversity. This course covers the following outcomes:
- Understand neurodivergent diagnoses and their impact on children and young people
- Identify differences between neurodivergent and neurotypical children
The course covers:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Condition (ASC)
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD or ADD)
- Dyslexia, Dyspraxia & Dyscalculia
- Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD)
- Intellectual / Learning Differences
- Giftedness
- PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance)
- ‘Working Therapeutically with Neurodivergent Children & Young Adults CPD Accredited’ – Day Two 10am – 5pm online
A one day (7 hour) course for Hypnotherapists (in training or qualified) who are working with neurodivergent children, young adults and families. Please note therapists are expected to have prior training / experience in neurodivergence (such as is covered in course one above, or equivalent)
This course covers the following outcomes:
- Understand and apply Neurodiversity Affirming Practice with families
- Explore the use of Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Hypnotherapy tools.
- Enhance self-esteem, confidence, and manage anxiety in neurodivergent children & young adults
- Address fears, phobias, and challenges related to school and college engagement.
- Strengthen executive functioning skills in neurodivergent children & young adults
For children and young adults with:
